Mrs. Grierson & Mrs. Fard's Early Years Class: Living Things

This week, we began to discuss living things and how they differ from non-living things. The children learned that living things:
eat and drink, move and grow. We have started a collection of Living Things in our classroom to better study them.

What could it be?

Wow! There were caterpillars and food in this surprise box!
We get to watch the caterpillars eat, grow and change in our classroom!

The children are so excited to watch the living things eat, drink, move and grow!

We have been working on self regulation during lessons by putting our hand up when we want to share an idea. After each meeting time, if we have done this well as a whole class, we earn a sticker on our rainbow chart. We were excited to fill our first row with yellow stickers and voted to have popsicles as a reward! Here is our outdoor "popsicle party"!
