Butterflies and Frogs in the making!

It has been an exciting time watching our caterpillars and tadpoles growing and changing.  We are learning to be patient and observe small changes.  We are recording changes in our Caterpillar Diary each day and sharing our observations with the class. Here are some photos and some observations the children have made.

"The pond water is so smelly.  Do they like dirty water?"

"I see little legs on the back of the big tadpole!"

"There's a snail in our tank! Can snails breathe underwater?"

"The caterpillar is hanging upside down and making the letter J!"

"My caterpillar is starting to turn into a chrysalis!"

We are writing questions we have about caterpillars and tadpoles....

We are writing things we have learned about caterpillars and tadpoles...

We are making art pieces and books about caterpillars, butterflies, tadpoles and frogs...

We also enjoyed examining our snail and our worms on the
 light table!

So many things are growing and changing in our classroom.....just like us!
