Chicken Soup with Rice!

Last week, we enjoyed the poem, "Chicken Soup with Rice" by Maurice Sendak.  With the chilly weather all around us, we decided it might be nice, to make some yummy chicken soup with rice!  
We worked hard cutting and chopping vegetables, with the wonderful assistance of Mrs. Hamandi.  Take a look at our crew in the kitchen..... 

We simmered it all day long and then enjoyed it the next day with crackers.  It was a hit!!!

There`s nothing like warm soup on a cold day!

Thank you to everyone who sent in items for our soup day!!! It was truly a yummy meal!

Last week we did some more explorations with Snowmen

At the Light Table....

And at the sensory table.....

Mix the baking soda, salt, dish soap and water....

Form the balls to make the body....

Shape him into a snowman....

And add the vinegar.....

Instant foam!!!

Oh, how the children loved the feel of the FOAMING SNOWMAN!!!!
